Also make sure to read instruction manuals before use as they often help and shed light on confusion.  User manuals will either be in a book or on a CD that came with the device. Detailed demonstrations can be done before a purchase is made to help assist you in finding the correct device for your needs. During demonstrations always keep in mind the situation it will be used for and ask for that situation to be simulated in the best way possible.
